Philharmonic Concert Hall, Berlin

Hans Scharoun designed the Berliner Philharmoniker in Berlin, Germany. It was completed in 1963 and replaced the 1882 concert hall built by Franz Schwechten. The main music hall can seat 2,500 and a smaller hall can seat 1,200. The stage is placed at the center and seating is terraced around it. The exterior is a strait golden box but the roof line curves in wavy patterns that match the organic ceilings inside.

The metal exterior looks industrial but the gold color makes it stand out.
