Pritzker Prize winner Fumihiko Maki designed the Mildred Lane Kemper Museum at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. It was completed in 2006.
The Japanese design arranges blocks of masonry and glazing to provide subtle daylighting with rational arrangement of spaces and circulation. The minimalist structure provides a low key background for the modern art. |
