Fater Spa Offices, Pescara Italy

As a social revitalization of an industrial part of town, this project by Massimiliano Fuksas forms two buildings with two goals: an office workspace and a city landmark. The office space becomes a stacked series of horizontal slabs with transparent glazing inbetween. The city landmark is derived from the industrial context, a circular radiation with verticals that create a dynamic dualism. The interaction of these two buildings create an interesting space. The sixth floor has pools of water that are crossed by wood walkways. Public spaces are carved out from the layers. The project was completed in 2008.
