Allianz Arena, Munich Germany

The Allianz Arena opened in 2005 for the 2006 World Cup and are still used by the FC Bayern München and TSV 1860 München. The three tiers can hold 69,901 people. The exterior ETFE-foil panels are kept inflated with air and illuminated according to whichever team is playing there. It was designed by Herzog & de Meuron and ArupSpor.

Europe’s largest parking structure with 9,800 parking places accommodates the arena. The surrounding area is full of green trees and windmills, the uninterrupted Bavarian Germany countryside.
